John-Paul Walti lives in San Francisco, California. His fiction was awarded the Leo Litwack Short Story Award (2001) and the Audre Lorde Creative Writing Award (2005) for work that expresses a social consciousness. His poetry and short stories have appeared in the Pudding Review and Transfer Literary Magazine.
