Michael Alpiner
Michael Alpiner has been writing poetry and teaching English for over 20 years. He hosts a monthly open mic and poetry workshop at Barnes and Noble in Queens, NY. Michael has published work in Jewish Currents, Soul Fountain, Time Being Books (Blood to Remember), New Works Review and The Verse Marauder. Michael attended the Vermont Studio Center on a writer's grant (August 2004), where he completed Pebbles from the Village, a poetry memoir of his family's European immigrant experience, and began work on a 2nd manuscript that documents his successful battle with Hodgkin's Disease. Michael was recently featured on Hofstra radio (88.7 FM), and interviewed on Queens Public Television. |
